Knav is a software-as-a-service platform that allows users to create, customize, and embed command palette experiences on their websites. The Service includes:
- A web-based dashboard for configuring commands and settings
- Embed scripts that can be installed on third-party websites
- A command palette widget that appears on websites where the embed script is installed
- Analytics and reporting features (where applicable)
2. Account Registration
2.1 Account Creation
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
2.2 Account Security
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activities or actions under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account.

- Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the Service or servers
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices from the Service
- Use the Service to distribute malware, viruses, or other malicious code
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written consent
- Use the Service in any way that could damage our reputation or goodwill
- Circumvent any access or usage limitations imposed on your account
3.3 Embed Script Usage
When using our embed scripts, you agree to:
- Only embed the script on websites you own or have explicit permission to modify
- Not modify, obfuscate, or tamper with the embed script code
- Ensure your use of the command palette complies with your own website's terms of service and privacy policy
- Inform your website visitors about the use of third-party services where required by law
4. User Content
4.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you create through the Service, including command labels, descriptions, and configurations ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, store, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
4.2 Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the necessary rights to use and authorize the use of your User Content
- Your User Content does not violate any third party's intellectual property or other rights
- Your User Content does not contain any unlawful, defamatory, or objectionable material

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
10.2 Liability Cap
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
10.3 Essential Purpose
THE LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION APPLY REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (WHETHER CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE) AND EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us and our officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your use of the Service
- Your User Content
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third party's rights
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
12. Term and Termination
12.1 Term
These Terms remain in effect while you use the Service.
12.2 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in the dashboard.
12.3 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to, violation of these Terms, fraudulent or illegal activity, or extended periods of inactivity.
12.4 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
- Your embed scripts will stop functioning
- We may delete your User Content and account data
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
